Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google unit is under suspicion by Poland's antitrust watchdog of abusing its market position while negotiating content payments with domestic media publishers, the regulator said Monday.

Google allegedly failed to provide news outlets with data to assess its offers during negotiations for payments for displaying articles and excerpts in its search results and news results, Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection said in a statement, according to a Google translation.

The arrangement allegedly allows Google to impose terms, the regulator said.

Google and the regulator did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
