Hon Hai Precision Industry (TPE:2317) posted its highest-ever single-month revenue in September, breaching the NT$1 trillion mark for the first time on the back of surging demand for cloud, networking, and computing products, the company said Tuesday.

The contract electronics manufacturer, doing business internationally as Foxconn, registered September revenue of NT$1.159 trillion, up 38% year over year.

Cloud and networking, as well as computing products, saw higher growth during the period following pull-in momentum for artificial intelligence products. Foxconn's components segment saw a rise in its main business and other income.

In contrast, revenue for the smart consumer electronics segment stayed roughly flat on a year-over-year basis due to higher shipment prices.

On a seasonally adjusted month-over-month basis, revenue jumped about 26% from NT$921.8 billion, also driven by continued AI momentum that boosted sales of its cloud and networking, and computing products, alongside new product launches in the smart consumer electronics sector.

For the third quarter, Foxconn's overall revenue jumped 47% year over year to NT$3.0327 trillion.

Looking ahead, the company expects AI-related operations to continue driving revenue in the fourth quarter in line with the traditional peak season for ICT products. However, Foxconn said it remains cautious about its broader outlook due to ongoing global political and economic volatility.
