Metaplanet (TYO:3350) and its subsidiaries purchased 1,000 bitcoin on a net basis in the third quarter, bringing total Bitcoin holdings to 44,000 BTC as of Sept. 30, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.
During Q3, the group sold 10,000 BTC and repurchased 11,000 BTC as part of a transaction to demonstrate its ability to convert its Bitcoin holdings into cash, the filing said.
In a separate filing, the company said that its Q3 FY2026 bitcoin income generation revenue totaled 848.4 million yen, down from 1.747 billion yen in Q2 FY2026, it said.
Shares of Metaplanet fell nearly 2% in recent trade.
