Huntington Ingalls Begins Refueling, Overhaul of Aircraft Carrier USS Harry S. Truman

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) said Wednesday that aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman arrived today at its Newport News Shipbuilding division to begin its refueling and complex overhaul.
Truman is the eighth Nimitz-class carrier to undergo the major mid-life availability.
Work will include hull and freeboard blast and paint, repairs to propellers, sea chests, shafts and rudders, and defueling and refueling of the ship's power plant.
The company's shares were up 2.7% in Wednesday afternoon trading.
