Top cryptocurrencies were mixed on Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) firmer above the $83,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 0.1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.7%, the S&P 500 added 0.2%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.6%.
Bitcoin rose 0.5% to $83,787, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume increased 29.4% to $35.78 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, fell 0.5% to $2,674.
XRP (XRP-USD) declined 0.6%, BNB (BNB-USD) added 1.7%, and Solana (SOL-USD) lost 0.9%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) eased 0.1%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) decreased 0.5%.
Total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 0.2% in the past 24 hours to $2.87 trillion, with trading volume rising 7.5% to $97.75 billion.
