0250 GMT - The Philippine central bank expects inflation to have accelerated in September. Prices likely rose due to weather-related increases in vegetables, fish, rice and fruits prices, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas says. Rising petroleum prices and the peso's depreciation may have also lifted prices, it adds. However, inflation may have been partially offset by lower prices of meat and electricity rates, BSP says. The central bank projects inflation to settle between 6.4% and 7.4% for September, compared with 6.1% in August. Inflation data are due next week.
