QMines (ASX:QML) is expanding its drilling campaign to 20,000 meters from 10,000 meters following "encouraging exploration success" across its projects in central Queensland, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The doubling of the campaign comes ahead imminent results from the barge drilling program at the company's Mt Chalmers flagship copper-gold development project in Queensland.

QMines said it is advancing three high-impact drilling programs, including at Mt Chalmers, the Botos deposit, and the Woods Shaft prospect.

"The expanded campaign positions QMines for a sustained period of exploration news flow," the company said.

Its shares rose past 8% in recent Tuesday trade and earlier hit their highest since September 2024.
