Singapore Shares Edge Lower, Tracking Wall Street Losses

Singapore shares opened lower on Tuesday, tracking the weak trade on Wall Street, as rising oil prices continued to dampen investor sentiment.
The Straits Times Index fell 10.3 points, or 0.18%, to open at 5,718.69.
High oil prices, driven by the unresolved conflict between the US and Iran in the Middle East, have fueled inflation concerns, leading to expectations of further interest rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve.
