Cytokinetics Starts Real-World Study of Myqorzo in Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Cytokinetics (CYTK) said Wednesday it started a real-world study evaluating Myqorzo in adults with symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
The company said the study will enroll about 400 patients across 13 cardiology practices and HCM centers over 12 to 36 months.
Researchers will evaluate the drug's safety and effectiveness in routine clinical practice, including reductions in ejection fraction, blood flow obstruction, symptoms and patient-reported outcomes, Cytokinetics said.
The study will also examine hospitalizations, procedures, healthcare costs, treatment patterns and whether Myqorzo can delay or prevent invasive procedures, the company added.
