Paramount Skydance (PSKY) plans to sell debt to finance the Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) acquisition could cost up to $500 million in extra annual interest compared with what it would have in May, Bloomberg reported late Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The extra interest on the $44 billion of bond issuance could cost even more, potentially 100 to 150 basis points over what Paramount would have originally paid, which equals $450 million to over $600 million a year, according to the report.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
