Engineering Construction Work Done in Australia Down in June Quarter

The total value of engineering construction work done in Australia in seasonally adjusted terms fell 4.7% sequentially to AU$37.2 billion in the June quarter, according to a report released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday.
The total value of engineering construction work done was down 3.7% year on year.
Total work done in the private sector in the three months to June decreased by 7.4% to AU$21.4 billion, while that of the public sector declined by 0.8% to AU$15.8 billion.
Meanwhile, the value of work started rose almost 21% to AU$37.64 billion in original terms, per the report.
