Peking University Resources (HKG:0618) said its subsidiary, Foshan PKU Resources Real Estate, was ordered by China's Supreme People's Court to return 187 million yuan to Ping An Huitong Investment Management in a dispute over an asset-backed securities scheme, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The court also ordered Foshan PKU to pay interest on the amount from Dec. 19, 2019, as well as litigation costs totaling about 1.8 million yuan and a 5,000 yuan application fee for preservation measures.
The dispute dates back to 2020, when Ping An Huitong sought the return of payments that Foshan PKU received in connection with property receivables assigned to the ABS scheme.
The Supreme People's Court ordered a retrial in March 2025 before issuing the latest judgment.
A separate lawsuit seeking the return of an additional 24.36 million yuan remains stayed, pending the outcome of the retrial case.
