Betta Pharmaceuticals Subsidiary's Anti-Cancer Capsules Gets Australia Clinical Trial Nod

Betta Pharmaceuticals' (SHE:300558) BPI-572270 capsules manufactured by subsidiary Hangzhou Jingyao Biotechnology will begin phase 1/2 clinical trials in Australia, according to a Monday after-hours filing with the Shenzhen bourse.

Betta Pharmaceuticals' shares rose 3% during the midday break on Tuesday.

The drug is indicated for advanced solid tumors with specific RAS mutations, such as pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and colorectal cancer, among others, the drug company said in its release.
