Gamuda-SD Guthrie JV, US Firm Sign 21-Year Term Sheet for Energy Supply

Gamuda (KLSE:GAMUDA) and SD Guthrie (KLSE:SDG) said their joint venture G3nerasi Kinta, signed a term sheet with a U.S.-based multinational technology company for a proposed 21-year bilateral energy supply contract.

The project involves a 680-megawatt alternating current hybrid utility-scale solar photovoltaic plant with a four-hour battery energy storage system in Perak, Malaysia. It will supply renewable energy to the US firm's data centers under the CRESS program, according to separate Tuesday filings.

The project is targeted for commercial operation in 2029, it said.
