KKR (KKR) and RWE have teamed up to submit a non-binding bid for Germany's state-owned Uniper, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
Equinor (EQNR), Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and Czech energy group EPH also submitted bids, according to the report and Handelsblatt.
Germany's finance ministry wants Uniper to remain an integrated gas trading and power generation company and plans to retain about a 25% stake after a sale, Bloomberg reported.
KKR, RWE, Uniper, Equinor and Brookfield Asset Management did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
