DeepSeek, Huawei Launch AI Toolkit to Rival Nvidia

DeepSeek launched a software it developed with Huawei Technologies, a sign that Chinese artificial intelligence firms are looking for alternatives to Nvidia's technologies.
The software toolkit, which was used with the open-source programming language TileLang, was optimized for Huawei's Ascend platform, the Chinese AI startup said in its WeChat post on Wednesday.
DeepSeek described TileLang as easier to program compared to Nvidia's CUDA language and as being able to fully utilize the characteristics of the chip.
