Singapore Shares Remain in Red Ahead of Crucial US Inflation Data

Singapore stocks remained in the red Qst

on Wednesday, with investors anticipating crucial US inflation data which could have a bearing on interest rates.

The Straits Times Index (STI), a key benchmark for the Singapore Exchange, ranged between 5,675.88 and 5,733.52 throughout the day. It ended the session at 5,675.88, down 38.96 points or 0.7% compared to Tuesday's close.

On the corporate front, shares of Zixin Group (SGX:42W) closed over 4% higher as it proposed issuing up to 402.1 million bonus warrants, based on two warrants for every 10 existing shares.

UMS Integration (SGX:558, KLSE:UMSINT) closed nearly 3% lower as it signed a placement agreement with CGS International Securities Malaysia and AmInvestment Bank for the placement of up to 52.9 million shares.

Meanwhile, shares of Keppel DC REIT (SGX:AJBU) closed under 1% higher as its subsidiary, KDCR Tokyo 3 TML, secured a 15.5 billion yen consumption tax loan facility and issued 24 billion yen in green bonds under the trust's green financing framework.
