The Philadelphia Housing Index was falling 1.1%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was down 0.5%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 1% to $83,089, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 4 basis points to 5.29%.
In corporate news, Fair Isaac (FICO) shares fell past 25% after US Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte said late Monday on X that VantageScore will join the existing FICO classic mortgage pricing grid. Vantage Score is operated by VantageScore Solutions, a private joint venture owned by Equifax (EFX), Experian and TransUnion (TRU). Equifax and TransUnion shares were down 3.9% and 4.7% respectively.
