Vitrafy Life Sciences Partners With Versiti Blood Health to Develop End-to-End Platelet Deep-Freezing Technology

Vitrafy Life Sciences (ASX:VFY) partnered with Versiti Blood Health, a US non-profit blood network, to advance the development of its cryopreservation ecosystem for platelets, an end-to-end technology for deep-freezing platelets, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The company said the partnership follows its in-vitro platelet study with the US Army Institute of Surgical Research and will also support verification and validation activities associated with Vitrafy's planned US medical device listing.

Under the partnership, Vitrafy and Versiti will each contribute resources to advance development of the no-wash platelet cryopreservation ecosystem within Versiti's platelet workflows, the filing added.

Vitrafy's shares fell 2% in recent Wednesday trade.
