Atlas Arteria (ASX:ALX) said that the French Government is planning to increase the long-distance transport infrastructure tax to a rate higher than the current 4.6%, based on the company's profitability, as part of the draft Finance Bill for 2027, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The long-distance transport infrastructure tax applies to long-distance transport infrastructure operators with annual revenues exceeding 120 million euros, the filing said.

The company also said that in a letter sent to the main French employers' association, the French Prime Minister indicated that the government plans to extend the temporary supplemental tax beyond this year and reduce the tax rate.

The temporary supplemental tax applies to companies with revenues exceeding 1.5 billion euros, per the filing.
