OCBC Bank (Hong Kong), a unit of Oversea-Chinese Banking (SGX:O39), recorded a 40% year‑over‑year growth in wealth‑management income in the first eight months of 2026, The Standard reported Tuesday, citing Josephine Lee, head of Consumer Financial Services.
Lee said the lender's high‑net‑worth client and wealth‑management business has witnessed strong growth, and is expected to record high double‑digit growth next year, the report said.
The bank also has plans to hire 100 front‑line staff, including an additional 60‑70 customer managers over the 30‑40 added this year.
Lee was speaking at the opening of the bank's Central Branch in Hong Kong, where it also soft-launched its Premier Private Client service for high‑net‑worth customers, which is open to eligible customers maintaining a Total Relationship Balance of HK$8 million.
