TSMC (TPE:2330) is currently assessing the viability of expanding its chip production in Texas, US, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The contract chipmaker is reportedly looking to make the investment in addition to $265 billion it has already committed to Arizona, the report added.
In July, the company had unveiled an additional $100 billion investment in Arizona, to build semiconductor manufacturing facilities, the report said.
TSMC did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
