Honeywell Technologies (HON) was selected by Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals to provide technology, licensing, engineering services, proprietary catalysts, equipment, and digital tools for a planned 700,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Kenya, the company said Wednesday.
The project is expected to be worth around $300 million, the company said.
The facility is expected to become the world's largest single-train refinery, the company said.
It will use Honeywell's refining and petrochemical technologies to process a wide variety of crude oils, from light to heavy grades, into gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and polypropylene, the company said.
Shares of the company were up 1.8% in recent premarket trading.
