Barrick Mining (B) has resolved a strike threat at its Loulo-Gounkoto gold complex in Mali after reaching an agreement with unions on outstanding labor issues, Bloomberg reported Sunday.
The unions had threatened strikes over overtime payments, expense reimbursements and other labor matters, the report said.
The resolution comes after a prolonged dispute between Barrick Mining and Mali's ruling junta that led to the suspension of operations in January 2025 and a subsequent settlement with the government, according to the report.
The complex produced about 190,000 ounces of gold in H1, the report said.
