European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Start Week Slightly Lower in Monday Trading

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts opened the week tracking slightly lower Monday morning, declining 0.14% to 1,921.04 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by oil and gas company Eni (E) and petroleum refiner Equinor (EQNR), which rose 2.4% and 1.4%, respectively. They were followed by semiconductor company Sequans Communications (SQNS) and health tech company Royal Philips (PHG), which were up 0.7% and 0.6%, respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by telecommunications company Nokia (NOK) and internet browser company Opera (OPRA), which fell 2.4% and 2%, respectively. They were followed by software firm SAP (SAP) and 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS), which dropped 1.6% and 1.1%, respectively.

The gainers from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company NuCana (NCNA) and oil and gas company Shell (SHEL), which advanced 2.3% and 1.5%, respectively. They were followed by oil and gas company BP (BP) and telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD), which increased 1.4% and 1.1%, respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by Endava (DAVA) and then Biodexa Pharmaceuticals (BDRX), which fell 4.7% and 2.4%, respectively. They were followed by Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) and Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which lost 1.9% and 1.4%, respectively.
