Celanese is raising certain prices for its ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and polyoxymethylene engineered materials products in Asia and Europe.
The company said Thursday the price hikes were due to various factors, including recent supply chain disruptions and market developments.
The higher prices will be effective on all shipments on or after Oct. 8, or as contracts otherwise allow.
In Asia, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and polyoxymethylene will both increase by 30 cents per kilogram. Polyoxymethylene will increase by 0.30 euros per kilogram in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Prices will be flat in Celanese's Americas business. Individual grades may be subject to higher increases.
