1622 ET - Treasury yields end a sharply rising week at multi-year highs. A pause in the oil rally helped cool down the bonds selloff, after yields touched historic highs. A resilient U.S. economy, rising energy costs and wobbling demand for government debt push borrowing costs up. Next week brings August PCE inflation and September jobs report, both likely to boost yields if they surprise to the upside. The 10-year benchmark rises 0.185 percentage point this week, to 5.180, a 19-year high. The two-year rises 0.121 points to 4.862%, including a 0.033 points decline today. The 30-year settles at 5.5%, the highest since June 2004, after rising 0.173 points.
