Market Chatter: Banks to Sell 3.6 Billion Pounds of Debt Backing KKR's Buyout of DCC Energy

Goldman Sachs Group (GS), Morgan Stanley (MS) and several other investment banks plan to sell 3.6 billion pounds ($4.8 billion) in high-yield bonds and infrastructure loans to finance KKR (KKR) and Energy Capital Partners' 5.7 billion-pound buyout of DCC Energy, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

The debt is expected to be syndicated next year after the deal's anticipated Q1 2027 closing, according to the report, which cited unnamed sources. The sources also said an antitrust probe by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority could force the banks to hold the debt longer.

Representatives for Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, DCC Energy, KKR, and Energy Capital Partners did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
