Japan Airlines is leaning toward choosing Embraer (EMBJ) over Airbus for an order of about 20 regional jets, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

Japan Airline is weighing Embraer's E2 against Airbus' A220 and could make a final decision as soon as October, although sources told Bloomberg that the choice has not been finalized.

Embraer did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
