Santos (ASX:STO) shares rose past 2% in recent Thursday trade, while Woodside Energy Group (ASX:WDS) and Ampol (ASX:ALD) each gained nearly 2%, as the price of oil again topped $100 per barrel.
Oil prices rose on supply concerns as the US and Iran were unable to reach an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and amid speculation of the White House contemplating a 90-day ban on diesel exports, the Australian Financial Review reported.
