General Motors and Pacific Gas and Electric are offering a promotional bundle with an electric vehicle charger, a monthly bill credit and support at certain dealers in California.
The companies on Wednesday said the product aims to make home charging easier and more affordable.
Customers who purchase or lease a new Chevrolet, GMC, or Cadillac EV at participating dealerships will be able to buy the bundle right at the point of sale, the companies said.
The bundle includes a GM Energy PowerShift or PowerUp 2 home charger at no additional hardware cost, a value of up to $1,999, and $15 in monthly bill credits on customers' PG&E bills after installation.
Participating customers may save up to an additional $50 per month by shifting charging to periods when electricity costs and demand are lower, the companies said.
PG&E said the offering is a key step in making EVs more affordable.
"We're looking at a future where the option to electrify is the easier and more compelling choice for customers, where we unlock the power of EVs to make our grid more resilient and efficient," said Chelle Izzi, SVP and chief commercial officer at PG&E.
