Better Home & Finance (BETR) shares fell over 1% on Tuesday after former chief executive Vishal Garg criticized the company's actions related to his effort to remove five directors from its board.

Garg urged shareholders to submit their consent to support proposals to remove directors Daniel Lewis, Harit Talwar, Arnaud Massenet, Bhaskar Menon and Prabhu Narasimhan, according to a statement.

Garg said, despite the company's efforts, the campaign has already received support from shareholders representing more than 46% of Better's voting power.

He added that he seeks to nominate new independent candidates, including Bing Gordon, David Heidecorn and Steve Sarracino.

Better Home & Finance didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
