Elmet (ELMT) said late Tuesday it signed a long-term offtake agreement with Tungsten West for tungsten concentrate from the Hemerdon Mine in Devon, England.

Under the agreement, Elmet expects to take more than 1,000 metric tons a year of tungsten concentrate, with both companies aiming to increase volumes over time.

The material will be processed into ammonium paratungstate and other tungsten intermediates before being supplied to Elmet's manufacturing operations in the US. This is subject to the completion of a previously announced asset purchase agreement with OSRAM, its plant in Schwabmunchen, Germany, supporting aerospace, defense and other industrial markets, Elmet said.
