0652 GMT - The dollar trades steady, close to a multiweek high against a basket of currencies, as the Japanese yen falls after a split vote by the Bank of Japan to raise interest rates Friday cast doubt over further policy tightening. The BOJ increased its policy rate to 1.25%, as expected, in a 7-2 vote. The yen's negative reaction also reflects some speculation that the BOJ could have delivered a jumbo rate rise and because the central bank doesn't sound ready for back-to-back tightening, Danske Bank analysts say in a note. The decision follows the Federal Reserve's unanimous vote Wednesday to raise rates. The DXY dollar index rises 0.1% to 100.289, near Thursday's seven-week high of 100.367. The dollar rises 0.5% to 156.66 yen.
