During the Kazakhstan-China Investment Forum, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with UBTECH ROBOTICS (HKEX: 09880) Vice President Zhong Yong in Almaty.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on UBTECH's business layout in Kazakhstan, robot manufacturing, educational cooperation, and multi-industry applications.
President Tokayev expressed support for UBTECH to build a robot equipment manufacturing plant in Almaty, with products mainly targeting the education and service sectors. He noted that Kazakhstan will become UBTECH's first production base outside China.
In terms of educational cooperation, the two sides explored establishing a systematic cooperation mechanism between UBTECH and Kazakh technical universities and colleges, and proposed the creation of a joint competence center.
The two sides also exchanged views on the widespread application of UBTECH's technology in the Amalty City project, as well as the deployment of robot equipment in mining, oil and gas, and large-scale logistics facilities.
UBTECH will use this exchange as an opportunity to continue deepening cooperation with Kazakhstan in robotics, artificial intelligence, education, energy, and logistics.
It is understood that UBTECH has successively signed contracts with clients in major markets such as Europe, Japan, and South Korea, securing over 50 million yuan in overseas orders. The ordered products include the commercial service humanoid robot Walker C1 and the hyper-realistic humanoid robot You World U1.
This marks that UBTECH's globalization strategy has officially entered a new stage of comprehensive acceleration.
