According to Deloitte China's South China Managing Partner, Au Chun Hing, stated during a press conference that during the first three quarters of this year, the Nasdaq exchange in the United States led globally with IPO fundraising of HK$1.122 trillion from 85 listings.
Following in second place, HKEX (HK. 00388) raised HK$387.9 billion from 116 IPOs. The New York Stock Exchange secured the third spot with HK$163.2 billion from 44 listings, while the Shanghai Stock Exchange ranked fourth with HK$139.8 billion from 31 IPOs. The National Stock Exchange of India took fifth place, raising HK$81.8 billion through 137 offerings.
Au noted that the firm has revised its projection for Hong Kong's full-year IPO fundraising upward, from the previously estimated minimum of HK$300 billion, to a range of HK$480 billion—a 60% increase. This upward adjustment suggests the total could potentially break the 2010 record of approximately HK$450 billion, setting a new historical high. However, the forecast for the number of listings remains steady at around 160 for the year.
