To seize opportunities in the digital economy and empower high-quality industrial development through digital and intelligent technologies, the Shunde District People's Government and China Telecom Corporation Limited (HKEX: 00728, SSE: 601728) Foshan Branch held a signing ceremony on September 24 for a strategic cooperation framework agreement on high-quality digital economy development.

At the event, China Telecom's Shunde District Branch presented the overall strategic cooperation plan between the two parties and officially launched the Greater Bay Area (Shunde) Token Operations Center.

Government and enterprise representatives gathered for discussions on new pathways for computing-network infrastructure, intelligent computing empowerment, and integrated digital-real economy development, charting a new blueprint for Shunde's high-quality digital economy growth.

Total Investment of No Less Than 2 Billion Yuan to Build Next-Generation Communications and Computing Networks

As a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation accelerates, computing power, artificial intelligence, and next-generation communications technologies are becoming core engines driving regional high-quality development.

As a trillion-yuan manufacturing hub, Shunde is using the construction of "six networks" as its overarching guide to systematically deploy new digital infrastructure and continuously strengthen the foundation of its digital economy.

Under the agreement, China Telecom plans to invest no less than 2 billion yuan in Shunde to advance the construction of next-generation communications networks and computing networks.

The two parties will accelerate full-area 5G-A coverage and large-scale 10-gigabit optical network coverage, conduct forward-looking 6G technology verification, build a "dual 10-gigabit" network architecture combining 5G-A and 10-gigabit optical networks, deepen the deployment of 50G-PON technology, and extend high-quality network resources from central urban areas to industrial parks, transportation hubs, and industrial carriers, continuously enhancing the region's network carrying capacity and digital-intelligent service capabilities to provide solid digital support for industrial transformation, urban governance, and public services.

Building the Greater Bay Area Token Operations Center to Create a "Shunde Intelligent Computing Brain"

At the event, the Greater Bay Area (Shunde) Token Operations Center, jointly operated by Shunde Data Technology Group and Foshan Telecom, was officially inaugurated, with the first batch of application scenarios entering the center unveiled simultaneously.

The center leverages China Telecom's integrated intelligent cloud system spanning "computing power, platform, data, models, and applications" to deliver one-stop AI service capabilities, with total investment expected to exceed 100 million yuan.

It innovatively adopts a "front shop, back factory" operating model, integrating three core segments: a Token zone, a computing power zone, and an AI application zone. It supports one-click access to over 110 mainstream models, connects more than 350 core AI products and key industry scenario solutions, and possesses over 10,000P of stable computing power output capacity.

Currently, a number of benchmark application scenarios including Luobo Kuaipao, Vanward, and Youli Youyu Film have already entered the center.

Chen Xinwen, Standing Committee Member of the Foshan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Shunde District Party Committee, stated that this strategic cooperation is adaptive, distinctive, systematic, and forward-looking, highly aligned with Shunde's industrial foundation, urban positioning, and future development direction.

In terms of adaptability, the "1+3+10" regional computing hub is highly compatible with Shunde's "3+3+4" clustered development industrial layout.

In terms of distinctiveness, leveraging China Telecom's leading advantages in data elements and trusted data spaces, combined with Shunde's "Intelligent Robot 100" plan, it promotes open and shared real-world scenarios with actual orders.

In terms of systematicness, it covers education, information technology innovation, 5G-A, and more, building a systematic digital infrastructure foundation and deploying edge computing to balance construction efficiency and investment costs.

In terms of forward-looking vision, it proactively positions itself in the core Token operations track and simultaneously deploys frontier technologies such as information technology innovation and quantum technology to secure early advantages for Shunde's digital economy.

With a strategy of "rooted in Shunde, serving Foshan, and looking toward the Greater Bay Area," Shunde will join hands with China Telecom to explore new pathways for high-quality digital economy development and strive to build a Shunde benchmark for Greater Bay Area digital economy growth characterized by deep government-enterprise collaboration and deep digital-real economy integration.
