US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy stated that "communication lines have been repaired, and operations are now resuming at all airports across the Northeast," following a equipment malfunction at an air traffic control facility that had earlier forced a suspension of operations at major airports in the New York area. Duffy made these remarks in a post on X platform, adding that "it will still take some time to clear the existing backlog of delays, so please check with your airlines for the latest updates."
