Qingdao Airport has made advance preparations for all operational support arrangements as the National Day holiday approaches.

From October 1 to 7, Qingdao Airport plans to handle nearly 4,300 takeoffs and landings, serving approximately 658,000 passengers.

Focusing on key areas such as flight operations, passenger services, and ground transportation connections, the airport has coordinated resources in advance and optimized support procedures to ensure passengers travel safely, conveniently, and comfortably.

The National Day holiday will see Qingdao Airport further increase flight frequency on key routes based on passenger travel demand.

Among these, popular express routes to Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, and Guangzhou, as well as medium and long-haul popular destinations including Urumqi, Jieyang, and Nanning, will have additional flights, providing passengers with more convenient aviation options for holiday family visits and tourism.

The number of international and regional flights is expected to increase by approximately 8% year-on-year.

Load factors on routes to Seoul, Busan, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taipei are projected to exceed 80%, with the Seoul route reaching 40 daily flights, ranking first nationwide in cumulative flight volume.

Meanwhile, the Vancouver route will resume operations on October 2, becoming the only direct passenger route from Shandong Province to North America.

This National Day holiday will see the concentrated application of multiple service initiatives at Qingdao Airport.

The "Qingyi Stay - Overnight Concourse" service enters its first National Day holiday support period, providing rest spaces within the security area for passengers on early flights, in transit, or stranded overnight, along with supporting check-in, security, and medical services, giving travelers an additional option for a worry-free overnight stay.

The "Qingyi Board - Board in a Quarter Hour" service continues to provide convenience for passengers without checked baggage; eligible domestic flight passengers can complete boarding procedures by arriving at the gate 15 minutes before departure, effectively easing the pressure on passengers rushing for near-departure flights; zone-based boarding services will also be further promoted on selected domestic and international flights, with staff guiding passengers through broadcasts and seat signage to wait and board by zone, improving boarding efficiency while making passenger flow organization smoother.

For key passenger groups including first-time flyers, unaccompanied children, elderly passengers, passengers with disabilities, and pregnant women, Qingdao Airport will strengthen proactive identification and forward-leaning services, providing guidance, wheelchair assistance, and luggage help at check-in, security, and boarding stages.

A "Caring Channel" will be set up in the domestic pre-screening area to provide a more convenient security environment for passengers in need; meanwhile, volunteer service forces will be reinforced in passenger-concentrated areas such as the check-in zone, pre-security area, parking building, and ride-hailing pickup area to promptly respond to passenger inquiries and travel needs.

During the National Day period, Qingdao Airport will also strengthen monitoring of transportation operations including the terminal building, integrated transportation center, expressways, taxis, ride-hailing services, long-distance passenger transport, and buses, deploying capacity in advance based on passenger flow changes, strengthening order maintenance in key areas such as the ride-hailing pickup area, parking building, taxi pickup area, and passenger station, and promptly providing vehicle guidance, on-site information, and assistance for special passengers, offering convenience for passengers arriving at and departing from the airport.

The airport will arrange electric shuttle vehicles based on morning flight demand to transport certain special passengers and those in need from the subway exit to the B1 floor explosion detection area, ensuring smooth connections between subway and air travel.

As the National Day approaches, the terminal building of Qingdao Airport has also put on festive "new attire."

National flags are hung along passenger routes, National Day-themed decorations are added to check-in islands and information desks, and flowers adorn the departure hall, creating a festive and harmonious holiday atmosphere.

From September 30 to October 1, the airport will host National Day-themed cultural and tourism activities, inviting the Qingdao Performing Arts Group to present flash mob performances including symphony, solo, and choral singing; inviting Qingdao Tourism School and other institutions to set up a Song Dynasty Four Arts ancient-style gathering and a Qilu cultural and creative themed exhibition area in the domestic arrivals area, fully upgrading the "pickup drink" station, showcasing multiple Qingdao specialty beverages, and distributing handheld national flags to passengers, allowing them to experience the festive atmosphere and city characteristics from the moment they arrive at the airport; on October 2, the Qingdao-Vancouver route officially resumes, and the airport will invite passengers to taste specialty drinks including Tsingtao Beer, Laoshan Cola, and Baihua Sheshecao Shui, and participate in interactive gift-giving; from October 3 to 5, the "Qingyi Fly - Fly to Listen to Music" Jay Chou concert event will be held simultaneously, offering concert-themed support materials to flying fans, allowing passengers to experience more ceremony at the airport.
