PDD Holdings' Xiongan subsidiary has surpassed 5,000 employees, achieving rapid development momentum just over three months after establishing operations in the area, according to company sources.
The company, officially known as Pinduoduo Information Technology Services (Xiongan) Co., Ltd., has successfully launched two major business centers: the Traditional Industry Data Processing Service Center and the Traditional Manufacturing High-Quality Development Comprehensive Service Center. In May of this year, PDD Holdings decided to register a subsidiary in Xiongan New Area, completing the registration in just one day with assistance from local authorities.
The company then steadily advanced employee recruitment, team building, and business implementation. In the spacious office area of PDD Holdings' Xiongan subsidiary, the sounds of mouse clicks and keyboard typing fill the air as young employees focus on writing code, annotating product images on screens, or communicating with remote teams online, creating an atmosphere full of youthful energy.
As PDD Holdings' operations center for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the rapid development of its Xiongan subsidiary has not only injected momentum into the digital economy industry of Xiongan New Area but also created numerous employment opportunities.
Jin Wangshu, a native of Xiongan who recently joined the company, is responsible for the innovative "Virtual Fitting Mirror" project. She explained, "Simply put, my job is to make the online clothes 'try-on' effect more realistic and help customers buy satisfactory products." After graduating from university, Jin worked in new media operations and exhibition planning in Shijiazhuang and Beijing. In recent years, as more enterprises established operations in Xiongan, she developed a desire to return home for development. In July, upon seeing recruitment information from PDD Holdings' Xiongan subsidiary, she immediately submitted her resume and successfully joined after several rounds of selection.
"Although I had no previous experience in the internet industry, the company provided training, and within just one week, I became familiar with the business," Jin said. After joining, she collaborated closely with team members to improve the "Virtual Fitting Mirror" effect, effectively increasing product click-through rates and purchase rates. At the same time, she bid farewell to her previous long commute 鈥?her residence is only a 10-minute walk from the company. After work, she can have dinner with family and take walks in the park, achieving a balance between work and life.
Unlike Jin who returned home, Huai Ying actively moved to Xiongan to pursue his dreams. Huai joined PDD Holdings after graduating from university in 2021. In May of this year, he voluntarily applied to transfer from Guangzhou to Xiongan. At that time, PDD Holdings' Xiongan subsidiary had just been registered, with only about 10 employees including himself as part of the initial team. After arriving in Xiongan, he participated in recruitment interviews and business development work. Now, he manages the advertising review and merchant service teams, which have more than 110 members.
"In Xiongan, I have transformed from a business executor to a team manager," Huai said. He noted that Xiongan is a hotbed of innovation and vitality, providing a broad stage for young people to pursue their careers. He will lead his team members to take root here, continuously improve their business capabilities, and strive to pursue their life dreams.
