OpenAI CEO Altman stated that the latest AI software platform released by NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) this week, aimed at preventing AI agents from misbehaving, is a "good thing" but not a "complete solution."
When asked why OpenAI did not join the project, he said: "As far as I know, I am not very familiar with the details, but I think it is a good thing. I believe we are also doing similar work."
NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) listed well-known companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, CoreWeave, Dell, and Intel as partners in its Monday announcement.
"I don't think this is a complete solution. I worry that if we treat AI safety merely as an engineering problem, we will miss a very important point: we have a scientific problem in front of us. We still need to discover how to align these models, and we must solve this scientific problem," Altman said.
