On September 24, 2026, HSBC Holdings plc became interested in 139.09 million shares of GLOBAL NEW MAT (06616) after The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited was appointed as Trustee of bonds convertible into shares. This transaction was not a direct on-market dealing.

Prior to the acquisition, HSBC Holdings plc's long position in GLOBAL NEW MAT was 121.07 million shares, representing 9.69%; following the acquisition, the holding changed to 142.68 million shares, with the long position ratio rising to 11.42%.
