To further deepen the national reading campaign and advance the development of a book-loving Guangling, the County Culture and Tourism Bureau and the County Library organized the 21st Wenjin Book Exhibition and Promotion activity on the afternoon of September 20, in line with the work plans of the National Library and the China Library Association. The event, themed "Deepening National Reading, Bringing Quality Books to Grassroots Communities," was held at the Paper-cut Square in the county town, aiming to deliver high-quality book resources directly to the public and foster a vibrant social atmosphere that encourages a love for reading, preference for good books, and proficiency in reading.

An outdoor reading area was set up on the square, with long tables laden with a wide variety of books. Adults and children alike gathered around the tables, flipping through the pages with genuine interest. Many residents brought their children to browse and read, all immersed in the world of books and experiencing the joy of reading up close. Staff members were on hand to explain the knowledge surrounding the Wenjin Book selection, introduce aspects of the national reading initiative, and guide residents toward cultivating lasting reading habits.

It is understood that the Wenjin Book selection and promotion campaign originated in 2004 as a public welfare initiative hosted by the National Library, aimed at disseminating knowledge, nurturing cultural literacy, and serving as a well-known brand in the national reading landscape. Guangling County's current Wenjin Book promotion runs from April through the end of December. Leveraging the Wenjin Book Exhibition, the program brings high-quality public cultural resources down to grassroots venues like the square, fully capitalizing on the leading role of public libraries and further enriching the spiritual and cultural lives of the community.
