EPIWORLD (02726) rose more than 10% during intraday trading, and as of press time, the stock was up 7.76%, quoted at HK$89.60, with a turnover of HK$11.2065 million.

EPIWORLD recently announced that a major international customer of the group has agreed to purchase additional 6-inch and 8-inch silicon carbide epitaxial wafers, with a maximum total sales amount of approximately US$95.8 million, to be delivered on or before December 31, 2026. This customer is a listed company, a global leader in the silicon carbide semiconductor industry, and an independent third party. The board of directors believes that the procurement matter reflects the customer's confidence and willingness to establish a long-term cooperative relationship with the group.

It is worth noting that the upstream also validates the continued high prosperity of SiC demand. SICC Chairman Zong Yanmin stated at the semi-annual results meeting on September 11 that the silicon carbide substrate industry is shifting from the previous rapid price adjustment phase to a new phase of "price stabilization and demand expansion." At present, the company's production capacity supply has become relatively tight, and it is expected that production capacity will be even tighter in the second half of the year.
