Techtronic Industries trims float with fresh 35,000-share buyback; cumulative repurchases under 2026 mandate reach 3.12 million

Techtronic Industries Company Limited reported a further on-market repurchase of 35,000 ordinary shares on 1 September 2026, spending HKD 4.61 million at prices ranging from HKD 130.80 to HKD 133.80 per share. The transaction represents 0.0019 % of the group’s 1.83 billion issued shares and falls within the authority granted by shareholders on 8 May 2026.

Including this latest trade, Techtronic has now bought back 3.12 million shares since the 2026 mandate became effective, equal to 0.17 % of the shares outstanding when the mandate was approved. The company is authorised to repurchase up to 182.98 million shares, leaving more than 179 million shares—approximately 9.80 % of current issued capital—still available under the mandate.

All shares acquired since 25 August 2026 remain to be cancelled. Pending cancellation now totals 175,000 shares, acquired for approximately HKD 23.06 million at a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 131.79 per share.

Following the latest repurchase, Techtronic’s issued share count remains unchanged at 1,827,547,941 shares until the pending cancellations are effected. Under Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares for 30 days after the 1 September transaction, extending to 1 October 2026.
