SK hynix said Thursday it is reviewing various financing options for its US subsidiary Solidigm, but no decision has been made. This reaffirms its consistent stance regarding speculation that the subsidiary may pursue a US listing.
Earlier reports said Solidigm is considering an initial public offering (IPO) in the United States as early as next year, with a valuation of up to $150 billion.
In a press release, SK hynix (ASX: SKHY) said: "We are evaluating various measures aimed at enhancing Solidigm's competitiveness, but our position remains unchanged and no decision has been made at this time."
SK hynix said the company will continue to assess related investment needs to ensure Solidigm's production capacity and technological competitiveness.
The company said: "We will comprehensively evaluate capital utilization plans related to Solidigm, taking into account the company's overall investment plan, financial condition, and capital allocation."
SK hynix added that it will "prudently assess the potential impact on existing shareholders and examine necessary measures to protect their interests."
