Recently, the activity room of Xinping Community in Pingba Village, Xinmajie Township, was particularly lively.

A long table, a roster, and a stack of cash were set up as 24 relocated households came forward one by one to sign, press their fingerprints, and collect their money.

This was the scene of the 2025 annual income distribution from the follow-up support industry for relocated residents in Xinping Community.

That day, relocated residents across the village received a total of 26,269.21 yuan in dividends, averaging 1,094.55 yuan per household.

"Solar panels are installed on the rooftops, and when the sun comes out, they generate electricity. The electricity is sold to the grid, and the revenue is distributed as year-end dividends. Every income and every expense is open and transparent. Anyone can come and check the accounts at any time. How much each household received is clearly written in the roster," said Hu Xingwei, Party Secretary of Pingba Village, Xinmajie Township, candidly.

The photovoltaic power generation project requires small investment, delivers quick results, and provides steady returns. It is a "sunshine industry" tailor-made by Xinmajie Township for relocated residents.

Relocated residents do not need to spend a single cent or worry about a thing—they can enjoy dividends just by sitting at home.

In front of the dividend recipients, Hu Xingwei listed the management and maintenance fees, venue fees, taxes, and electricity fees one by one, with all receipts in order.

In 2025, the follow-up support industry for relocated residents in Xinping Community achieved total operating income of 46,605.53 yuan, mainly from the photovoltaic power generation project.

After deducting management and maintenance fees of 15,323.7 yuan, venue fees of 2,189.1 yuan, taxes of 2,753.73 yuan, and electricity fees of 69.79 yuan, the annual net income was 26,269.21 yuan, which was fully distributed to households.

Each household's 400 yuan was designated as the second-round dividend from the collective economy for the following year, to be distributed based on assessments of each household's participation in environmental improvement, public facility maintenance, and rural civility development.

This mechanism not only safeguards residents' basic income but also motivates everyone to participate in community governance.

In addition to photovoltaic dividends, Xinmajie Township has also promoted local employment for 32 relocated workers through public welfare positions and referrals to nearby jobs.

Xinmajie Township currently has 24 relocated households comprising 104 people.

Moving out is only the first step. How to ensure residents can settle down and prosper is the real test.

In recent years, Xinmajie Township has coordinated the revitalization of idle venues, collective ancillary facilities, and other existing assets in the resettlement area, steadily developing support businesses such as asset leasing, photovoltaic power generation, and public welfare position management, and establishing an interest linkage mechanism of "unified collective operation and shared benefits for residents."

Dividends come every year, and life keeps getting better.

After collecting their money, the residents gradually dispersed, and the activity room returned to calm.

But for the 24 households of Xinping Community, this substantial dividend is not only the harvest of the past year but also the confidence for their future life and development.
