On October 2, the No. 1 generator of the Huaihe Energy Wuhu Natural Gas Peak-Shaving Power Plant project, constructed by China Energy Engineering Group Construction Co., Ltd., was successfully put in place, marking a key breakthrough in the installation of the project's core equipment.

During the National Day holiday, all young construction workers at the power plant stayed at the construction front line, ensuring the progress of this livelihood project through practical action.

The power plant is the first natural gas peak-shaving power plant in Wuhu City, Anhui Province. Once completed, it is expected to generate an average annual power output of about 2.4 billion kilowatt-hours, building a two-way emergency peak-shaving guarantee system in which electricity and natural gas back each other up, meeting the growing power demand of Anhui Province and Wuhu City, and playing an important role in improving the flexibility and reliability of energy utilization.

The generator is the core equipment of the power plant's generating unit. The generator put in place this time has a transport weight of about 370 tons, making it one of the largest single precision pieces of equipment in the main plant building.

During the technical breakthrough period, 37 young Party members and young backbone workers took the lead in staying at the front line, undertaking key tasks such as scheme demonstration and on-site supervision.

Facing challenges such as limited hoisting space and high precision requirements, they calculated the force on the sling and the lifting height, optimized the work path, and safeguarded the safe and high-quality progress of core equipment installation with youthful responsibility.
