Today (the 24th), at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, Vice Minister of Transport Li Yang stated that based on comprehensive assessment, during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, passenger flow will see a slight increase compared to ordinary days, with an estimated 650 million cross-regional trips nationwide, averaging about 220 million per day. These trips will mainly consist of returning home for family reunions and visiting relatives and friends, with a higher volume of suburban outings and rural tourism around cities.
Li Yang introduced that from 0:00 on October 1 to 24:00 on October 7, the policy of waiving tolls for passenger cars with 7 seats or fewer on toll roads during major holidays will continue to be implemented.
