On May 19, 2022, James Bruce Flatt bought 6.48 million H shares of CHALCO on the SEHK open market at an average of HKD 3.2212 per share, involving about HKD 20.86 million. This acquisition caused Flatt's holding to cross the 5% threshold for the first time, becoming a notifiable interest.
Prior to the acquisition, Flatt's long position in CHALCO was 195.67 million shares, representing 4.96%; following the acquisition, the holding changed to 202.14 million shares, with the long position ratio rising to 5.13%.
